Nate Saint Home to be Restored
Fuel the Mission announces restoration plans for the home in Shell, Ecuador, where "Operation Auca" was planned in 1956 by missionaries Nate Saint (who lived in the home), Jim Elliot, Roger Youderian, Ed McCully and Pete Fleming. Speared to death by indigenous Waorani ("Auca") men to whom they wanted to share Christ, these five men's stories still fuel the worldwide Christian missionary movement. Today many of the Waorani people "walk God's path" because of the bravery and influence of these men and their families. We are honored to restore this home for the benefit of the hundreds who still visit the site each year. And we are grateful to Mission Aviation Fellowship for the privilege of saving one of their sacred landmarks. All glory to God!
